A room apart

The High Table

Where thoughts are placed without hurry, and answered without crowd. The table sits a few. The conversation is small.

Waqt

— time —

Waqt nikal kar, Waqt par hansne waalon se, poocha humne, Ki itna kyun hanste ho? Aakhir itna kaise hanste ho?
Waqt nikal kar, Waqt par hansne waalon ne, wapas poocha humse, Ki tumhein kisne roka hai? Aakhir tumhein kisne toka hai?
Bade bedhang ho, Bade badtameez ho, kaha humne. Sawal ke jawab mein, sawal karte ho?
Wo zor se hanse, aur hanste hanste bole —
Yeh jo tumhare tareeke hain, yeh thode se feeke hain. Yeh jo hansna humne seekha hai, bada hi haseen saleeka hai.
Yeh jo tumhare tang raste hain, bas inhi par, hum hanste hain.
